As an Administrative Assistant, Lori Dennis provides support to ABVC's project managers and research personnel. Lori performs a number of administrative duties including the preparation of meeting minutes and correspondence, completion of monthly expense claims, invoice tracking, website maintenance and facilitation of meeting schedules. Lori also works in collaboration with Leona Perry (Research Projects Administrator) to provide financial back up assistance to ABVC's projects.
Prior to joining the ABVC team, Lori spent five years working as an Administrative Assistant within municipal government. Lori has continued her education by taking courses that are relative to her work environment, for example, courses in Local Government and Sustainable Communities while working with municipal government.
Lori has a special interest in working in an environment that provides an opportunity to be involved in activities that have a positive impact on the local area. ABVC provides this opportunity by developing new value-added, natural products using under-utilized bioresources generated within primary sectors in Atlantic Canada.
